Route des Grandes Alpes September 2012
 
Last year when we went onto the KTM factory because Marc bought a Superduke, we had an excuse to plan a route. This resulted in 2012 to want another week trip with friends. And the Route des Grande Alpes (from Menton to Thonon-les-Bains) is one hell of a trip to see.

And when you want to ride this route, you also need to get there and back. We started by riding to Menton via Germany, Switserland and Italy. No highway, autobahn or whatever involved. To warm up the tyres so to speak. And that's how we got back as well. We probably only had 350 km of fastlane traffic in total. Because we were with five enthusiasts this year, we decided to sleep on campings as well. This turned out to be perfect!

In total we drove around 3600 km in 8 days with many, many mountain routes and had a good time. In Ventimiglia we met Matteo, our Italian Dabbs president who drove from Genova to us for friendship and fun. It was great to meet him again.
